MIX & MATCH : a guide to pair up cosmetics with clothes

Hello everyone

As promised ,I am back with another post for you all

IMO this post will be quite useful for you all; especially for those ladies who don't prefer too much of makeup and at the same time, dislike going out of home bareface

This whole post was basically requested by  Ms. Preety Agarwal (HOD in my office)

She actually gave me pictures of her salwar suits(as picture given below) and asked for my opinion regarding how to pair up eyeshadow lipstick and nailpolish with the respective salwar suits.

Me being a beauty blogger felt so good and excited in writing this post, because I know this will not only help her but also help my readers as well.

She didn't want the makeup  to be OTT but simple and wearable yet suitable for parties

Salwar suits

 So here comes my suggestions and advice

Firstly do not ever forget to cleanse, tone and moisturize your face.If you dont follow this procedure, your base makeup wont be strong and soon your face will have uneven patches of your foundation.

CTM.i.e cleansing toning moisturizing is highly recommended before starting any makeup

 Next, apply a good foundation.If you are not much into makeup then it is preferable to apply a sheer coverage foundation and a concealer that gives good coverage.Both can balance out your base makeup provided  if blended properly; Followed by a compact .

Faces sheer radiance foundation with Garnier anti dark circle tinted eye rollon

Then comes the eyemakeup.Since Preetiji is not much into makeup so I would suggest her not to experiment too much with the eyemakeup.Just dab a good amount of eyeshadow on the lids with a sponge applicator and spread it out with the wand of the applicator. Instead of using bold colors, try to go with pastel shades, matte shades, frosty shades (provided if it complements your skin tone).For eg: You can select any earthy brown or golden or auburn or beige or almond shade eyeshadows from the palettes given down below.

But the brand doesn't have to be same.Any color that resembles these earthy shades can be used .

Eyeshadows: Nyx palette in champagne & Caviar, Revlon Custom eyes in"naturally Glamorous", Nyx single eyeshadow in "copper", Maybelline Color Tattoo in "bad to bronze" and lastly an Inexpensive palette

 Then comes Nailpolish.I guess i don't need to give any suggestion regarding it.I just randomly chose these colors (picture below) which can be paired up with the clothes.In this pic the extreme left 2 are chosen for salwar suit no. 1, the middle two are for salwar suit 2 and lastly the extreme right 2 colors are for suit no.3

(L-R) Revlon Scented nailpolish in passion fruit, Lakme Color Crush nailpolish in shade 11, avon simply prety nailpolish in Pink Fantasy & Pale Lavender, Lakme true wear nailcolor is classics shade9 and lastly Avon Nailwear pro nailcolor in Ruby Slipper

And finally my favourite part, Lipsticks.Dab these colors lightly on your lips.if you prefer light lips

(L-R) Chambor lipstick in Rose Fresque, Lotus Herbals lipstick in Pink Blush, MAybelline super stay 14hr lipstick in keep me coral  and Lakme lipstick in shade 131

So this is all about mix n match.

Rocker Chic Eyes~ eyemakeup : VIDEO TUTORIAL

Hey everyone

I am back with another makeup tutorial.It is basically a black smokey eyemakeup which I named the ROCKER CHIC eyes :)

This video is in collaboration with one of my super talented Youtube friend ,Mandy of the GlamXpress

I just did the eyemakeup because I am having allergies on my lips and I'm under strict medication and just using Vaselline on my lips these days and nothing else.So I couldn't do the full face makeup =(

1.the colorworkshop eye primer

2.avon simply pretty back kajal 

3.matte black eyeshadow from the colorworkshop mini eyeshadow palette (On my lids)

4.chocolate brown eyeshadow from the Revlon custom eyes palette(On my crease)

5.nyx single eyeshadow in "highlight"(On my brow bone as highlighter)

6.lakme glide on pencil

7.lime green eyeshadow from qianyu eyeshadow palette (korean brand)

8.colorbar waterproof black liquid eyeliner

9.maybelline colossal waterproof mascara

Products I am in love with :D

Hey everyone

In this post I am going to talk about the products that i adore the most

These are the products that are to die for

Whenever I am low or not feel like doing anything, these instantaneously makes me feel alive :)

So let me show you all what are the products >>>

LAKME enrich satin lipstick in shade 135(which is a perfect pink which brightens up face a lot
REVLON colorburst lipgloss in HOT PINK, which makes me look fairer =D...
After all Pinks are essential in a woman's vanity, isn't it? ahemm :D

ORIFLAME full moon body cream~smells divine.I recommend you all to get
it asap.It's very light in texture & gives a soothing effect and also looks
like whipped cream to me :D

Maybelline white uv stay compact, maybelline colossal volume
mascara and Avon lipbalm~ are more like my necessities !

And last but not least, Colorbar velvet matte lipstick in shade "hot hot hot" makes me feel hot :-P
Its that kind of a lipstick for which you really dont need to worry about your eyemakeup.Just some foundation, compact,kohl liner & the lipstick can make you look the best in the crowd ;)

What to carry in your college/office bag !

Heya ladies

today I'm quickly going to illustrate about  the things that are necessary to carry in your college/office bag!

I would prefer a tote bag which can carry a lot of things in it !

for a college student, big exercise books, a black and a blue pen. Office goers can take their files & important documents too.

A lotion having SPF in it is a must, a facewash and a hand sanitizer.

A concealor, a compact, a small size foundation(OPTIONAL), a mascara & a lip balm having SPF in it.

A black kohl liner, a perfect pink lipgloss or a nude lipgloss for frequent touchups when needed.

A comb or hairbrush ofcourse !

Hairclips, hairpins, small and big clutchers ,and wet wipes to clean face and neck !

A small purse to carry cash and important cards(credit or debit cards) or even pan card, voter id card, colg id card etc.

A deodorant of your choice so that you dont stink & make sure to impress your Boss hahahaha ;)

And finally a sunglass ! You can even take an umbrella .

REVLON COLORBURST LIPGLOSS: swatches, quick review & photos

To begin with, this was actually requested by anuradha (Golden Falcon)
So i thought of sharing this with you all
I have 4 revlon colorburst lipglosses and all the shades are flattering !
The formulation is thick,creamy and moisturizing, provides good pigmentation and can be build up too ,but doesnt settle into fine lines and lasts for a long time on my lips without touch-ups.
They are priced at Rs.475 each . Net quantity-5.9ml and shelf life is-3years.
So here are 2 pictures>>
(L-R)--iced coffee,strawberry fraise, papaya & aubergine

iced coffee is an earthy brown shade with micro golden shimmers in it

strawberry fraise is a rich and vibrant pink with silver golden shimmers in it

papaya is a bright pinky coral shade.(This shade is quite popular and was even out of stock *_*)

aubergine is a semi-opaque plum shade with micro shimmers in it

Overall i just love these !!!!!!
The only con is that i dont like their fragrance..It's kinda different and wierd :D

Indian OOTD+ breakdown of FOTD

Hello ladies
today i am going to share with you all some photos of mine wearing saree
last night i attended one of my closest friend cum sister's wedding party
so here are the photos of my OOTD>

I wore this gorgeous black saree of my mom. price-rs6000 

purchased it from Ghanshyam saree shop in kolkata :)

And here's the breakdown of the makeup that i did>>

face : revlon photoready foundation(MRP-rs850) and covergirl compact (around $7) & blusher from benefit (got it from bangkok)

eyes: used the dark e/s from lakme eyeshadow quartet in desert rose(MRP-rs425) , maybelline colossal mascara(MRP-rs275) , maybelline drama gel liner(MRP-rs375),etude pearl powder as highlighter and VOV black e/s(MRP-rs120) on outer corner of my eyes

lips: vaselline lipguard(MRP-rs25) avon simply pretty color bliss lipstick in cherry red(MRP-rs99) , maybelline colorsensational lipgloss(MRP-rs250) in raspberry sorbet.
Unfortunately the lipcolor isnt showing well in the above pictures of mine because it faded out . I actually took the pictures when i came back and didn't feel like applying them again just to take photos. **I was so tired and even had shoebites .damn x-( **

perfume: davidoff cool water for women (MRP-around rs4200)

much awaited HAUL :D

I have got some treat for your eyes ladies :D
this month i have been lucky enough and managed to pamper myself a bit ;)
so all you makeup and beauty freaks let me present infront of you all, my much awaited HAUL !
here are the pictures >>>>>

1.First of all i must mention , do check out Avon's exciting offers this month...
I picked up 6 simply pretty color bliss lipsticks from avon (MRP-1 for rs.99 and 2 for rs.179 in current month's offer)

(my personal favourites are sangria, mango mania and cherry red) !

2.Then i picked up 2 Maybelline lipsticks from urbantouch.com. one in "Coral Pink" (MRP-rs220)and another one in shade "My Mahogany"(MRP-rs299). I also managed to get one tester of Gala lipstick :D in shade 312 "Wedding Night"(If you wana know the story how i managed to get it from the nearby shop, don't hesitate to ask me :P)

3.I got Revlon colorburst lipgloss(MRP-rs475) in shade "Aubergine" from urbantouch.com, two Maybelline colorsensational lipgloss (MRP-rs250 each) in shades "Raspberry Sorbet" and "Sugared Honey" and also Lakme aquashine lipcolor (MRP-rs395) in shade "Firebrick"

4.Since winter has arrived so i also picked up the yummiest lotion available in India :D ,i.e, Vaselline cocoa glow moisturizer(MRP-rs65), then clean & clear oil free moisturizer from healthkart.com(MRP-rs80) and Garnier body cocoon lotion (MRP-rs170)

5.oh ! how can i miss these cheap unbranded nailpolishes(MRP-rs20 each)..hehe..i seriously don't like spending much on nailpolishes because manier times i keep biting my nails hehe :D

5. Then i got this deodorant  named Jovan white musk which is widely available and comes within 200 to 250 rupees i guess(forgot the price) :P
And got this unique kinda bangle just for rs.100 :) I love this bangle because it goes well with both traditional as well as contemporary/western dresses

6.Next, i bought this earing(MRP-rs250) to match with my saree ( i recently started wearing sarees after struggling so hard  hehe :D)

7.Got this super hot red pure leather purse as a gift..I loveeeeee it !(MRP-rs950)

8.Then I purchased Lakme eyeshadow quartet in "Desert rose" (MRP-rs425) which is best for bridal or party makeup ;
Also purchased form urbantouch.com >> Revlon custom eyes eyeshadow palette(MRP-rs680) in "Rich Temptation" and my favourite NYX 10 color eyeshadow palette in "Jazz night"(MRP-rs880)

9.Last but not least, got these 2 badges as gift too...Guess what do they resemble ;)

What's in my makeup shelf ?

hello ladies
today i just wanted to write something random
since i am not going out much these days due to exam, so thought of writing something instead of getting bored in my leisure time :D
so today i am going to share with you all, what are the products that i have been using this month ; since i am using these products much these days so i arranged them properly and kept them on my small makeup shelf.
so here are my much needed makeup products :D

here are some pictures taken closely>>>>

the nailpolishes (L - R)----oriflame pure color nailpolish in dark brown , revlon super smooth nail enamel in raven red (won it in Tanvee's giveaway contest) , constance carroll diamond gloss nailpolish in cherry .

dove supreme velvet lotion (got it from singapore and trust me it smells so freakin' nice xD) and revlon photoready foundation in medium beige

 (L - R) lakme aquashine lipcolor in truffle, avon glazewear lipcolor in darling pink, gala ultra matte lipstick in smokey pink & revlon super lustrous lipstick in mauvy nights.

maybelline white uv stay compact in light ivory, laura paige bronzing powder (also got this from singapore) & loreal HIP duo eyeshadow in showy

the bronzer that i got is basically having a muted pink tone with light shimmers in it, i simply love it !

finally my chotu clean & clear facewash. it has been newly launched as you all know and costs just 15rs :)
